The fair division of losses
(joint project with the Institute of Sociology at the University of Leipzig; Applicants and scientific heads; Prof. Dr. Roger Berger and Prof. Dr. Dr. Bodo Vogt)
This project aims at the examination of distribution problems of individual and corporate actors. The EU Member States' on-going debate on the allocation of refugees highlights this situation's high degree of relevance. This example also shows that in many real-life situations not only gains need to be divided, but also losses. This gives rise to the questions: How do actors decide in situations in which losses have to be divided and what influences their behavior?
This project is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, VO 1677/4-1)
